Welcome to the P4Pottery community!

We are so pleased you are considering creating with us!  As Canberra’s newest pottery studio, P4Pottery offers a spacious, well-equipped home for your creativity—and friendly company to share it with.
 

If you have completed a beginner course or have been making for years, we would love to welcome you. Our memberships are for people with some pottery experience who are comfortable working independently. They give you time to build on what you know, follow your own ideas and enjoy making alongside others.

 

Our Fyshwick studio has 17 pottery wheels, with 10 dedicated to members, and generous handbuilding and sculpting space for up to 32 makers. Shared tools, studio glazes and member storage help you settle in, while our dedicated photography corner gives you a place to capture and share what you create.

 

Make time for pottery on your terms. You are not tied to a fixed timetable!  Choose available three-hour sessions within your plan’s access hours and weekly allowance, and change your bookings from week to week to suit your life. These are self-directed sessions rather than taught classes—time for your own projects, at your own pace.

    Every month
    Extra studio time for those ready to spend more time with clay and continue building their skills.

  • ANYTIME BASIC

    Every month
    Greater flexibility with daytime, evening and Saturday access to fit around work and life.

    • 1 x 3-hour session per week
    • Monday – Friday, 10am – 9pm and Saturday 12pm – 6pm
    • Small personal storage space
    • Use of all studio tools and glazes
    • First bag of clay free when you join

  • ANYTIME PLUS

    340$
    Every month
    Flexible access for makers who want more studio time and the freedom to create around work, family and other commitments.
     
    • Includes:
    • 2 x 3-hour session per week
    • Monday – Friday, 10am – 9pm and Saturday 12pm – 6pm
    • Small personal storage space
    • Use of all studio tools and glazes
    • First bag of clay free when you join

  • FREQUENT MAKERS

    500$
    Every month
    Designed for dedicated makers seeking regular studio time, greater flexibility and the opportunity to develop a consistent ceramic practice.
     
    • Includes:
    • Up to 4 x 3-hour sessions per week
    • Monday – Friday, 10am – 9pm and Saturday 12pm – 6pm
    • Dedicated full shelf storage
    • Use of all studio tools and glazes
    • First bag of clay free when you join

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need previous pottery experience to become a member?

​​​Membership is best suited to makers who have completed a pottery course or have previous studio experience.

If you are just starting out, we would love to help you begin with one of our classes
 

2. Are tools and glazes included?

Yes. All the studio tools and glazes are included in your membership price.
 

3. What about clay and firing?

Members enjoy reduced prices on clay purchases and firing services.
 

4. How are wheels allocated? Can I reserve one?

Wheel use operates on a first-come, first- served basis.
 

5. Do I need to book my sessions?

Yes. Session booking is required to help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable studio environment for everyone.
 

6.  Can I roll over my unused sessions?

No. Membership sessions reset each week and cannot be carried forward or transferred to another person.
 

7. Can I bring my own clay or glazes?

To maintain consistency and kiln safety, only approved clay bodies and glazes may be used in the studio.
 

8. What happens if I miss a booked session?

Missed sessions are considered used and cannot be rescheduled or transferred.
 

9. Can I pause my membership?

Membership pauses are available for extended travel or exceptional circumstances.

We offer flexible studio arrangements for makers who need a little more room to create.
