Beginner Handbuilding - Monday Evening

Discover the joy of creating with clay in our 8-Week Beginner Handbuilding course. Designed for complete beginners and those returning to clay, this structured course will guide you through a series of carefully planned projects that progressively build your skills and confidence.
Over eight weekly 2.5-hour sessions, you will learn a range of hand building techniques including pinch pots, slab building and coil construction while creating functional and decorative pieces such as cups, mugs, plates, bowls and organic-shaped vessels. Your 8th and final lesson is a 3-hour decorating and glazing session, where you will further personalise your favourite pieces ready for firing.
Through a series of guided projects and with plenty of individual guidance, you will progressively build your skills and confidence while exploring a variety of forms and techniques.
Whether you are completely new to ceramics or rediscovering a creative passion, this course offers the time and support needed to develop skills, build confidence and experience the satisfaction of creating beautiful handmade objects.
